Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia (MESA)

I am pleased to present this first Annual Report of the Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia (MESA) trading as the Asset Management Council.

Several years ago MESA established the Asset Management Council, recognising the evolution of the practice and science of Maintenance Engineering and Asset Management. Our purpose was to merge the two organisations into one; this objective was delivered at the end of 2007. The Asset Management Council retains at its core maintenance engineering, this is embodied in the Asset Management Council Technology Model.

Membership and Finances

Asset management and maintenance engineering practice continue to gain importance at all levels of enterprise management, and our membership continues to grow slowly, now exceeding 1,200.

Operating accounts of MESA and AM Council were consolidated for the reporting year ending December 2007, including Chapter accounts.
